La Perra Blanco Trio
Saturday 29th April · Sala Font del Ferro · Castell d’Aro · 0.00 h · Free
A group originating in Southern Andalucía – specifically from an area in the South of the Cádiz region (La Línea de la Concepción) – in 2017 and led by the young Alba Blanco (singer and guitarist). Inspired by 50s music, she formed this power trio, with influences from both black music such as Rhythm’n’Blues and gospel, and White music like Hillbilly, Rockabilly, Country, Bluegrass…
After releasing their first album at the end of 2019 and then the hiatus caused by the Pandemic, they returned in a big way with numerous concerts and released an EP which sold out in only weeks. In July of 2022 La Perra Blanca released their latest project, which is considered to be the best one recorded to date.
The group features prestigious artists – Double bass player Guillermo González and drummer, Jesús López, two exceptional talents with ample experience on the 50’s music circuit.
Despite her youth, she has already performed at numerous music festivals and venues throughout Spain and has enjoyed several successful trips to the UK. She was even featured on the cover of the English publication “UK Rock’n’Roll Magazine”, where they described her as “The new queen of Rockabilly”.
She is currently in the midst of the presentation tour for her new album, “Won’t you come on”, a tour that will take the group all over the country as well as to different places in Europe.
