There must be something special in the water that Australians drink. It’s the only explanation for how such powerful artists as Private Function have been able to make their way to us from the other side of the world. In a little less than a decade, with three albums and a handful of EPs that are pure dynamite, they have established themselves as one of the great hopefuls of the most irreverent punk on the Oceanic continent. Having topped the Australian charts and performed in front of more than 10,000 at the Sydney Myer Music Ball, they are now presenting their third full-length album, “370HSSV 0773H”, as part of a European tour that will bring them to Catalunya for the first time. The fact that NME and the all-powerful Rolling Stone have both succumbed to them is no coincidence.
